Whooping Cough Vaccination

What is Whooping Cough?

Whooping cough, also known as pertussis, is a highly contagious bacterial infection that affects the lungs and airways. It causes severe coughing fits that can make it difficult to breathe and may be followed by a characteristic "whooping" sound when breathing in. The illness can last for several weeks and is particularly dangerous for babies, young children, and people with weakened immune systems.
